Geomembranes
Get Started

Geomembranes are impermeable synthetic liners that contain liquids and keep them from reaching surrounding soil and groundwater. Supplied in rolls and welded together on site, they form a continuous barrier across a prepared surface — the seams, penetrations and anchor details are as critical to performance as the sheet itself, which is why installation is a specialist trade with its own testing and quality assurance regime.
Material and thickness are selected against the conditions of the site. Some polymers offer greater chemical resistance and durability but less flexibility; others stretch and conform readily to irregular subgrades or settlement, at the cost of some toughness. Surfaces may be smooth or textured, the latter used where friction is needed to hold the liner on a slope. Common applications include ponds and lagoons, landfill cells and caps, canals, mining containment, tank farms and secondary containment basins.
